Coachella is preparing to postpone it’s 2020 festival due to COVID-19.

The event has taken place in Indio Valley, California annually since its inception in 1999. This years lineup includes the likes of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Fatboy Slim and Rage Against The Machine.

While the festival has yet to make an official statement, organizers are reporting the event will be postponed to the fall. Coachella is the latest to fall victim to coronavirus which has already pushed back a number of major events. Pearl Jam’s North American tour, SXSW, and Ultra Music Festival have all been postponed or axed due to the virus.

The COVID-19 death toll has now surpassed 4,000, with over 113,000 infected world-wide.

Coachella is expected to make it official within the next day or two. Word is the event will be rescheduled for the weekends of October 9-11 and October 16-18, 2020.
