The Lonely Island created what they say is a demo for a song not chosen for the Academy Awards broadcast.

The song is called “Why Not Me” and features a bunch of the massive movies that smash the box office but get no love when it comes to awards. Such as Thor, Wonder Woman, Star Wars, and IT.

In a statement at the top of the video they say, “We were asked to write a song for this year’s Oscars… Unfortunately it wasn’t chosen because it was ‘financially and logistically impossible,’ so for fun we thought we’d share the rough storyboards of what would have been a fully shot, star-studded music video of exorbitant cost.”

The Lonely Island performed at the Oscars in 2015 singing their Lego Movie hit “Everything Is Awesome” with Tegan & Sara.
